Bawtry is a small market town and civil parish which lies at the point where the western branch of the Roman road Ermine Street crosses the River Idle in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, England and met the Great North Road. Kick off your visit on the 7th (Fri): brush up on your military savvy at Ashworth Barracks Museum and then see the interesting displays at The Vulcan Experience. Keep things going the next day: have some family-friendly fun at Bawtry Paintball & Laser Fields and then get to know the resident critters at Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
