Pokhara — 1 night

Pokhara, the second largest city in the country, attracts visitors with its superlative natural wonders and easygoing atmosphere.
Start off your visit on the 1st (Sat): admire the sheer force of Devi's Fall and then examine the collection at International Mountain Museum. On the 2nd (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the spiritual surroundings of Barahi temple, take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, and then explore the activities along Phewa Tal (Fewa Lake).

Do a combination of flight and car from Pokhara to Kathmandu in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Plan for slightly colder nights when traveling from Pokhara in January since evenings lows in Kathmandu dip to 3°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Fri) to allow enough time to fly back home.
