Islamorada — 2 nights

Islamorada, long recognized as one of the world's top spots for sport fishing, encompasses six islands in the Florida Keys.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Theater of the Sea and Sombrero Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Marathon (Crane Point Museum & Nature Center, The Turtle Hospital, &more). The adventure continues: tour the pleasant surroundings at Dolphin Research Center, indulge your thirst for a good beer at Islamorada Brewery & Distillery - MM82, explore the gorgeous colors at Alligator Reef Light House, and take an in-depth tour of History of Diving Museum.

Tampa to Islamorada is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 92°F in July, and nighttime lows around 81°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Tue) early enough to drive to Key West.

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Kids will enjoy The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum and Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory. Change things up with these side-trips from Key West: Big Pine Key (National Key Deer Refuge & Bahia Honda State Park). There's much more to do: discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, admire the landmark architecture of Oldest House & Garden Museum, examine the collection at Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Museum, and explore the different monuments and memorials at Key West Cemetery.
