Biloxi — 3 nights

A busy city on the Gulf Coast, Biloxi is one of the nation's oldest communities, first settled by Europeans in 1699.
Venture out of the city with trips to Mobile (Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception & Battleship USS ALABAMA), Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo (in Gulf Shores) and Dolphin & Whale Watching (in Orange Beach). There's much more to do: try to win big at Beau Rivage Casino, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies, look for gifts at Sharkheads, and don't miss a visit to Beauvoir.

On the 1st (Fri), see the interesting displays at Jesse Brent Lower Mississippi River Museum and Interpretive Center, then stroll the grounds of Vicksburg National Cemetery, and then take an in-depth tour of U.S.S. Cairo Museum.
