For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld. Have a day of magic on the 11th (Tue) at Walt Disney World Resort. Pack the 10th (Mon) with family-friendly diversions at Universal's Islands of Adventure. The adventure continues: find something for the whole family at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and make a splash at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park.

Newark to Orlando is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In July, daily temperatures in Orlando can reach 91°F, while at night they dip to 75°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Cocoa Beach.

Theme Parks

Cocoa Beach — 1 night

Situated in one of Florida's busiest vacation areas, Cocoa Beach burst onto the world scene in the 1960s, when it became a popular setting for parades honoring the nation's "Apollo" astronauts.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Thu): see the world from above with a helicopter tour, see what you can catch with a fishing tour, then brush up on your military savvy at Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum, and finally don't miss a visit to Rocket Launch Viewing Area. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 14th (Fri): get curious at Space Shuttle Atlantis and then engage your brain at NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

You can drive from Orlando to Cocoa Beach in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and bus; or do a combination of shuttle and bus. July in Cocoa Beach sees daily highs of 88°F and lows of 77°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 14th (Fri) so you can catch the flight back home.
