Bangkok — 5 nights

City of Angels

Enjoy cultural, historical, and culinary exploration during your holiday in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand and the most populous city in the country.
Step off the beaten path and head to Wat Chaiwatthanaram and Snake Farm (Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute). Get in touch with nature at Bang Saen Beach and Chao Phraya River. Change things up with these side-trips from Bangkok: Amphawa Floating Market (in Amphawa) and Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub) (in Mae Klong). There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at The Grand Palace, take in the spiritual surroundings of Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun), browse the different shops at Siam Paragon, and soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers.

To find more things to do, other places to visit, reviews, and tourist information, read our Bangkok day trip tool.

If you are flying in from Malaysia, the closest major aiports are Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang International Airport and U-Tapao International Airport. In November in Bangkok, expect temperatures between 38°C during the day and 29°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 14th (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
