Elafonissi — 1 night

Located just off Crete's southwestern corner, Elafonissi offers an alternative vacation idea for those looking to avoid the larger, more crowded Greek islands.
Start off your visit on the 8th (Thu): explore the fascinating underground world of Agia Sofia Cave and then examine the collection at Museum of platanias. Keep things going the next day: enjoy the sand and surf at Aspri Limni Beach, then hike along Elafonisi Viewpoint, and then kick back and relax at Elafonissi Beach.
