Islamorada — 1 day

Islamorada, long recognized as one of the world's top spots for sport fishing, encompasses six islands in the Florida Keys.
On the 9th (Fri), get close to the beloved marine mammals with Theater of the Sea and then sample the tasty concoctions at Florida Keys Brewing Company.

New York City to Islamorada is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and shuttle. Traveling from New York City in September, expect Islamorada to be somewhat warmer, temps between 90°F and 79°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Fri) so you can drive to Marathon.

Marathon — 2 nights

A tiny city just 16 km (10 mi) long, Marathon is spread across several islands in the middle of the Florida Keys.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Sat): look for all kinds of wild species at Dolphin Research Center, then look for all kinds of wild species at The Turtle Hospital, and then see what you can catch with a fishing tour. On the 11th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: kick back and relax at Bahia Honda State Park, snap pictures at Seven Mile Bridge, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Sombrero Beach.

Fort Walton Beach is a city in southern Okaloosa County, Florida, United States. Start off your visit on the 12th (Mon): head off the coast to Okaloosa Island, then enjoy the sand and surf at Henderson Beach State Park, and then get close to the beloved marine mammals with AJ's Water Adventures. On your second day here, kick back and relax at Navarre Beach and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Pensacola Beach.
