Traveling from Alta in June, you will find days in Nordkapp Municipality are slightly colder (49°F), and nights are about the same (43°F). On the 8th (Thu), you're off to Hammerfest.

Hammerfest — 20 nights

Hammerfest is a municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. Hammerfest Church and Sorvaer Church will appeal to history buffs. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at The Polar Bear Society and Salen Lookout. When in Hammerfest, make a side trip to see Trollholmsund in Lakselv, approximately Lakselv away. There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Museum of Reconstruction for Finnmark and Northern Troms, view the masterpieces at Galleri Syvstjerna, and make a trip to Fountain Mother and Child.
