Beechworth — 2 nights

A town that appeared during the gold rush in the 1850s, Beechworth is a well-preserved example of Victorian expansionism.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Canyon Walk and Parasailing & Paragliding. Step out of Beechworth to go to Bright and see Bright Splash Park, which is approximately 58 minutes away. There's still lots to do: stop by Beechworth Honey, take an in-depth tour of Beechworth Historic Courthouse, take in the dramatic scenery at Woolshed Waterfalls, and steep yourself in history at Old Beechworth Gaol.

Melbourne to Beechworth is an approximately 2.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus.
