Sarasota — 1 day

Sarasota is a city in Sarasota County on the southwestern coast of the U.S. state of Florida. Start off your visit on the 25th (Fri): admire the masterpieces at The Ringling and then glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area.

New York City to Sarasota is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In March, Sarasota is much warmer than New York City - with highs of 77°F and lows of 57°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Fri) early enough to go by car to Naples.

Side Trip

Key West — 2 nights

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
On the 27th (Sun), steep yourself in history at Truman Little White House, visit a coastal fixture at Key West Lighthouse and Keeper's Quarters Museum, and then cast your line with a fishing tour. Here are some ideas for day two: immerse yourself in nature at Fort Zachary Taylor, examine the collection at The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, and then cruise along The Overseas Highway.

Getting from Naples to Key West by combination of taxi and ferry takes about 4 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Naples in March, plan for a bit warmer nights in Key West, with lows around 69°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Mon) to allow enough time to fly back home.
