Although urban sprawl remains synonymous with Houston, most of the city's tourist attractions lie within the relatively small downtown area, surrounded by diverse neighborhoods housing the nation's biggest African-American, Asian-American, and Latino communities.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Thu): engage your brain at The Houston Museum of Natural Science, see the interesting displays at Space Center Houston, and then test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms.

For ratings, maps, other places to visit, and tourist information, you can read our Houston attractions planning app.

The Route module shows you all the different ways you can get to Houston. In August in Houston, expect temperatures between 95°F during the day and 77°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Fri) early enough to fly to Miami.
