Often called "Kastropolis" because of its majestic Venetian castle, Corfu Town once featured such extensive fortifications that a force of over 20,000 soldiers defended them.
Explore hidden gems such as Madalena Boat Trips and Agios Gordios Beach. Take a break from the city and head to Agios Georgios Beach and Porto Timoni Beach. Step out of Corfu Town with an excursion to St. Spyridon First Beach in Agios Spyridonas--about 1 hour away. The adventure continues: explore the striking landscape at Kaiser's Throne, expand your understanding of the military at Old Fortress Corfu, and wander the streets of Corfu Old Town.
