Chania Town — 30 nights

The place where Cretan and Venetian cultures merged in the 13th century, Chania Town attracts throngs of tourists with its well-preserved medieval harbor.
Attractions like Greek National Football Museum and Reptisland make great kid-friendly stops. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Kedrodasos Beach and St. Anthony Gorge (Gorge of Patsos). Change things up with these side-trips from Chania Town: Rethymnon (Archaeological Museum of Rethymno, Paraschakis Olive Oil - Crete, &more), Maravel Garden (in Spili) and Melidoni Cave (in Melidoni). There's lots more to do: take in the dramatic natural features at Agia Irini Gorge, stroll through Ammoudaki Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Souda Beach, and look for all kinds of wild species at Gorge of Mili.
