Copenhagen — 30 nights

Founded in the 10th century as a Viking fishing village, Copenhagen has morphed into the cultural, political, and economic powerhouse of the country.Venture out of the city with trips to Hillerod (Frederiksborg Slotskirke & Frederiksborg Castle), Horsholm Slotshave (in Hoersholm) and The Karen Blixen Museum (in Rungsted). There's much more to do: explore the historical opulence of Rosenborg Castle, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Our Saviour's Church, try out the rides at Tivoli Gardens, and get to know the fascinating history of Nyhavn.
To see maps, more things to do, other places to visit, and more tourist information, refer to the Copenhagen day trip website.
If you are flying in from Germany, the closest major aiport is Copenhagen Kastrup Airport. In July, plan for daily highs up to 26°C, and evening lows to 14°C.
