Located at the confluence of the Moselle and the Seille rivers bordering Luxembourg and Germany, Metz has a cultural confluence as well with a merging of its French and German heritage and military traditions.
Kick off your visit on the 28th (Fri): explore the activities along Canal de la Moselle, then pause for some serene contemplation at Le Temple Neuf, and then contemplate the long history of Œuvre de la cathédrale. On the next day, soak in style at Turkish baths, then don't miss a visit to Gare de Metz-Ville, and then examine the collection at Centre Pompidou-Metz.

Crossed by the Canal de la Marne au Rhin, Nancy has many small boats and péniches (barges) that navigate the canal waterways, giving you a fantastic vantage point of the city's historical architecture from the water.
On the 30th (Sun), explore the world behind art at Musee des Beaux-Arts de Nancy, walk around Parc de la Pepiniere, and then don't miss a visit to Place Stanislas.
