Noted for its low-key beaches, Kapaa is a small town with a high concentration of tourist-oriented hotels, shops, bars, and restaurants.
Step off the beaten path and head to Kuilau Ridge Trail and Ho'olalaea Waterfall. Get in touch with nature at Garden Isle Divers and Kealia Beach. There's lots more to do: enjoy the sea views from Ninini Point Lighthouse Cache Site, play a few rounds at Wailua Golf Course, catch all the local highlights with Sightseeing Tours, and steep yourself in history at Poli'ahu Heiau.

Princeville is a 9,000acre, upscale, unincorporated, master-planned community of vacation homes and condos on the north shore of the island of Kauai in Kauai County, Hawaii. Step out of the city life by going to Princeville Makai Golf Club and Koke`e State Park. You'll get in some beach time at Secret Beach and Puu Poa Beach. Get out of town with these interesting Princeville side-trips: Waimea (Puu Hinahina Lookout & Koke'e Mountains) and Kekaha (Awa'awapuhi Trail Parking & Kokee Natural History Museum). There's still lots to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Wai`oli Hui`ia Church, take some stellar pictures from Hanalei Valley Lookout, tour the pleasant surroundings at Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge, and hike along Nu'alolo Trail.
