A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Go for a jaunt from Paris to Versailles to see Palace of Versailles about 48 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: make a trip to Louvre Museum, contemplate the long history of Arc de Triomphe, admire the masterpieces at Musee d'Orsay, and pause for some serene contemplation at Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre.

Nice, France — 2 nights

Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.
On the 24th (Tue), take in nature's colorful creations at Le Jardin Exotique d'Eze and then step off the mainland to explore Lérins Islands. Keep things going the next day: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cathedrale Saint-Nicolas a Nice, then make a trip to Place Massena, then take some stellar pictures from Colline du Chateau overlook, and finally get to know the fascinating history of Vieille Ville.

You can fly from Paris to Nice in 3 hours. Other options are to take a train; or drive. Traveling from Paris in May, Nice is a bit warmer at night with lows of 57°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Wed) so you can fly to Fira.

Fira, the busy capital of Santorini, sits on the very edge of a volcanic caldera.
Fira is known for nightlife, wineries, and museums. Traveling by flight from Nice to Fira takes 7.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of bus, taxi, and ferry. Traveling from Nice to Fira, you'll lose 1 hour due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Nice in May, things will get a bit warmer in Fira: highs are around 75°F and lows about 63°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Sat) to allow enough time to ride a ferry to Ios.

Halfway between Naxos and Santorini lies tiny Ios, famous worldwide as one of the Aegean's liveliest nightlife hubs.
Kick off your visit on the 29th (Sun): enjoy the sand and surf at Manganari Beach and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Tris Klissies. On the 30th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: step into the grandiose world of Paleokastro and then kick back and relax at Mylopotas Beach.

Monemvasia is a town and a municipality in Laconia, Greece.
