Ireland's oldest city, Waterford maintains its small-town charm and attracts a growing number of travelers with its rich history, lively nightlife, and thriving festival scene.
Kick off your visit on the 4th (Mon): identify plant and animal life at Mayfield Birds of Prey, then grab your bike and head to Waterford Greenway, then examine the collection at Waterford Treasures Medieval Museum, and finally see the interesting displays at King of the Vikings.

Dublin to Waterford is an approximately 2.5-hour car ride. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and taxi; or do a combination of bus and taxi. Traveling from Dublin in July, Waterford is a bit warmer at night with lows of 16°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Mon) to allow time to drive to New Ross.

New Ross is a town in southwest County Wexford, Ireland. Start off your visit on the 5th (Tue): step aboard Dunbrody Famine Ship Experience, then walk around Irish National Heritage Park, and then identify plant and animal life at Secret Valley Wildlife Park.
