Cycling may be one of the best ways to tour Maribor, a great base for exploring the surrounding area and conquering Pohorje Mountains.

Kick off your visit on the 11th (Sat): see the interesting displays at Old Vine House, examine the collection at Ptuj Castle, then appreciate the history behind Orpheus Monument, and finally step into the grandiose world of Celje Castle. On the next day, take in the dramatic natural features at Pyramid Archaeological Site and then hit the slopes at Mariborsko Pohorje Ski Resort.
