The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.
Visiting Mt Pilatus and Seebad Eich will get you outdoors. Relax by the water at Strandbad Tiefenbrunnen and Wyden Badi. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Zurich: Rhine Falls (in Neuhausen am Rheinfall), Lucerne (Chapel Bridge, Lake Lucerne, &more) and Seebad Mit Strand Am Vierwaldstattersee (in Kuessnacht am Rigi). There's lots more to do: wander the streets of Bahnhofstrasse, explore the activities along Lake Zurich, enjoy the sand and surf at Strandbad Mythenquai, and visit Old Town.

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to Zurich is an approximately 10.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of ferry and car. The time zone difference when traveling from Jeddah to Zurich is minus 2 hours. Expect much colder temperatures when traveling from Jeddah in August; daily highs in Zurich reach 28°C and lows reach 16°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Sun) to allow enough time to take a train to Bern.

The capital and political center of Switzerland, Bern sits on a peninsula formed by the U-shaped River Aare.
Family-friendly places like UNESCO-Altstadt von Bern and Parasailing & Paragliding will thrill your kids. Step out of the city life by going to Harderkulm and Plage des Pins. Change things up with these side-trips from Bern: Walder Confiseur-Chocolatier (in Neuchatel), Creux du Van (in Gorgier) and Schwimmbad Merligen (in Merligen). The adventure continues: explore the activities along Aare River, contemplate the long history of Central Railroad Station, and browse the exhibits of Einstein House (Einsteinhaus).

You can take a train from Zurich to Bern in 1.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. In August, daily temperatures in Bern can reach 30°C, while at night they dip to 15°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 10th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Grindelwald.

Grindelwald — 3 nights

As one of the country's oldest ski resorts, Grindewald serves as a prime example of a cozy Swiss ski town.
Take a break from the city and head to Jungfraujoch and Aletsch Glacier. When in Grindelwald, make a side trip to see Lake Brienz in Brienz, approximately Brienz away. There's much more to do: hit the slopes at Grindelwald-First, stroll through Maennlichen, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at The Eiger, and admire the sheer force of Trümmelbachfälle.

Geneva — 3 nights

Geneva brings the world to one small city with a huge expat population and the highest number of international organizations in any one city.
We've included these beaches for you: Bains des Paquis and Plage de Celigny. Take a break from the city and head to Lake Geneva and Plage de Port-Choiseul. There's still lots to do: admire the local landmark of The Geneva Water Fountain, take some stellar pictures from Cathedrale de Saint-Pierre, and examine the collection at Patek Philippe Museum.
