Trondheim — 1 night

The oldest of Norway's major cities, Trondheim sits on the southern shore of one of the country's longest fjords.
Kick off your visit on the 18th (Sun): admire the striking features of Stiftsgarden, see the interesting displays at Rockheim, snap pictures at Old Town Bridge, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Nidaros Cathedral, and finally brush up on your military savvy at Kristiansten Fortress.

The largest town on the Lofoten Islands, Svolvaer serves as a good base from which to launch your tour of the archipelago.
On the 27th (Tue), take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Floya, get interesting insight from Tours, then get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at The Lofoten Aquarium, and finally take in the exciting artwork at Lille Kabelvag art gallery and museum. On your second day here, examine the collection at Lofoten Krigsminnenmuseum and then take an exotic tour of Lofoten Lights.
