Longreach — 2 nights

Longreach is a town in Central West Queensland, Australia approximately 700km from the coast, west of Rockhampton. Camden Park Station and Ilfracombe Machinery & Heritage Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Lake Eyre Basin and Spinifex Collections. There's more to do: examine the collection at Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre.

Brisbane to Longreach is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. A modern metropolis of glassy skyscrapers, waterside boulevards, and lush residential neighborhoods, Perth sits on the edge of the Swan Coastal Plain.
Step off the beaten path and head to City Beach and Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park. Take a break from the city and head to Matilda Bay Reserve and Lake Monger. Step out of Perth to go to Fremantle and see The Fremantle Round House, which is approximately 34 minutes away.
