Very much a town with an emphasis on the tropical lifestyle, Airlie Beach offers exotic surroundings with palm trees and charming, sandy beaches.
Waterskiing & Jetskiing has been added to your itinerary. Take a break from the city and head to Scuba & Snorkeling and Boathaven Beach. Brisbane to Airlie Beach is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Expect somewhat warmer evenings in Airlie Beach when traveling from Brisbane in September, with lows around 23°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Tue) to allow time to travel to Cairns.

The Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef

A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
You've now added Mike Ball Dive Expeditions to your itinerary. Get outdoors at Palm Cove Beach and Billy Tea Safaris. Spend the 21st (Thu) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Daintree — 2 nights

Daintree is a settlement in North Queensland 111km north of Cairns and 56km from Port Douglas, Queensland. On the 23rd (Sat), take some stellar pictures from Walu Wugirriga Lookout, view the masterpieces at Floravilla Ice Cream Factory, and then hit the best photo ops around with an inspiring photography tour. Here are some ideas for day two: get to know the resident critters at Daintree Wild Zoo, identify plant and animal life at Daintree Mangroves Wildlife Sanctuary, and then stroll through Wonga Beach.
