Athens is known for museums, historic sites, and sightseeing. Mumbai, India to Athens is an approximately 13-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 3.5 hours traveling from Mumbai to Athens. Plan for a bit cooler temperatures traveling from Mumbai in June, with highs in Athens at 35°C and lows at 24°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 1st (Fri) so you can go by car to Kalambaka.

Kalambaka — 1 night

The gateway to one of the largest monastery complexes in Greece, the small town of Kalambaka nestles against a landscape of imposing rock formations rising 400 m (1,300 ft) into the air. Nearly leveled during World War II, the town rebuilt and reinvented itself in the post-war period, quickly becoming one of the region's major travel destinations.
Kick off your visit on the 2nd (Sat): take in the spiritual surroundings of Holy Trinity Monastery (Agia Triada), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Monastery of the Great Meteoron, and then make a trip to Meteora.

You can drive from Athens to Kalambaka in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. Traveling from Athens in July, expect slightly colder with lows of 20°C in Kalambaka. Cap off your sightseeing on the 2nd (Sat) early enough to travel to Corfu Town.

Corfu Town, Corfu — 2 nights

Often called "Kastropolis" because of its majestic Venetian castle, Corfu Town once featured such extensive fortifications that a force of over 20,000 soldiers defended them.
On the 3rd (Sun), step into the grandiose world of Mon Repos Palace, then get a dose of the wild on Madalena Boat Trips, and then make a trip to Spianada Square. Keep things going the next day: step into the grandiose world of New Fortress, admire the landmark architecture of Corfu Museum of Asian Art, then stop by Sweet 'N Spicy Bahar Shop, and finally expand your understanding of the military at Old Fortress Corfu.

You can do a combination of car and ferry from Kalambaka to Corfu Town in 5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. Traveling from Kalambaka in July, Corfu Town is somewhat warmer at night with lows of 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Mon) early enough to fly to Heraklion.

You can fly from Corfu Town to Heraklion in 5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of bus and ferry; or take a bus. When traveling from Corfu Town in July, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Heraklion: temperatures range from 34°C by day to 26°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Wed) early enough to catch the ferry to Fira.
