The state of Victoria crown jewel, Melbourne boasts shaded streets, leafy residential neighborhoods, vibrant street life, and a picturesque city center.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Melbourne Museum as well as Melbourne Zoo. Kick off your visit on the 17th (Wed): see the interesting displays at Melbourne Museum, get to know the resident critters at Melbourne Zoo, wander the streets of Melbourne Central, then make a trip to Flinders Street Station, and finally take in panoramic vistas at Eureka Skydeck. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in nature's colorful creations at Royal Botanic Gardens, then pause for some photo ops at Shrine of Remembrance, and then stroll through St. Kilda Beach.

Queensland’s biggest town and state capital, Brisbane has an attractive, manicured image based around its riverside aesthetic as well as the contrast between its high-rise center and extensive urban greenery.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at The Shed @ Forest Glen and Fishermans Road Market. Take a break from the city and head to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and Mooloolaba Beach. There's lots more to do: take some stellar pictures from Mount Coot-Tha Summit Lookout, tour the pleasant surroundings at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt.
