Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park — 1 night

Brisbane to Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of train and ferry. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Mon) so you can take a bus to Strahan.

Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
On the 20th (Wed), give your taste buds a day to remember with a local gastronomic tour. There's much more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, sample the fine beverages at Lark Distillery, explore the world behind art at Museum of Old and New Art (Mona), and get curious at Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.

Coles Bay — 2 nights

Overlooking one of Tasmania's most scenic strips of coastline and serving as the gateway to Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay is home to just 500 permanent residents.
On the 26th (Tue), look for all kinds of wild species at Freycinet National Park and then get great views at Wineglass Bay Lookout. On the next day, learn about winemaking at Gala Estate Vineyard, then don't miss a visit to Bicheno Blowhole, then make a trip to Mt Amos Climb, and finally head outdoors with Outdoor Activities.
