One of the world's most ancient cities, Athens remains Europe's undisputed historical and cultural capital.
Acropolis of Athens and Temple of Hephaestus will appeal to history buffs. Appreciate the collections at Acropolis Museum and Archaeological Museum of Nauplion. Change things up with a short trip to Fortress Palamidi in Nafplio (about 1h 55 min away). The adventure continues: take in the awesome beauty at Mount Lycabettus, appreciate the history behind Temple of Olympian Zeus, admire the masterpieces at Museum of Cycladic Art, and visit Plaka.

Fira — 3 nights

Fira, the busy capital of Santorini, sits on the very edge of a volcanic caldera.
Visiting Helicopter Tours and Fishing Charters & Tours will get you outdoors. Akrotiri and Catholic Church of St. Stylianos will appeal to history buffs. Take a break from Fira with a short trip to Experience Horse Riding in Akrotiri, about 30 minutes away.
