West Greece travel guide
In contrast to the country's island destinations, West Greece boasts a blend of trendy resorts and pristine natural areas. The region includes the western section of the Greek mainland and the northwestern corner of the Peloponnese, a major tourist destination in and of itself. Culturally and geographically distinct from the rest of the country, West Greece contains valleys and dense forests, sheltering wildlife and native plants. In between these unspoiled natural ecosystems, you'll find tiny traditional settlements, seemingly immune to mass tourism. The pace of life continues slowly here, allowing West Greece to remain one of the last truly "Greek" parts of the country.
