Zurich — 2 nights

The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.
Venture out of the city with trips to Mt Pilatus (in Kriens) and Lucerne (Lake Lucerne, Chapel Bridge, &more). There's lots more to do: explore the activities along Lake Zurich, walk around Lindenhofplatz, don't miss a visit to Bahnhofstrasse, and stop by Old Town.

Mumbai, India to Zurich is an approximately 12.5-hour flight. You'll gain 4.5 hours traveling from Mumbai to Zurich due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Mumbai in July, things will get little chillier in Zurich: highs are around 30°C and lows about 17°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 14th (Thu) early enough to catch the train to Bern.

Bern — 1 night

The capital and political center of Switzerland, Bern sits on a peninsula formed by the U-shaped River Aare.
On the 15th (Fri), wander the streets of UNESCO-Altstadt von Bern, take in nature's colorful creations at Rose Garden (Rosengarten), then contemplate the waterfront views at Aare River, and finally take in panoramic vistas at Clock Tower - Zytglogge.

Getting from Zurich to Bern by train takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 30°C in July, and nighttime lows around 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Grindelwald.

Grindelwald — 3 nights

As one of the country's oldest ski resorts, Grindewald serves as a prime example of a cozy Swiss ski town.
Take a break from Grindelwald with a short trip to Lake Brienz in Brienz, about 38 minutes away. The adventure continues: get great views at Jungfraujoch, tour the pleasant surroundings at Grindelwald-First, explore the activities along Bachalpsee Lake, and take in the dramatic natural features at Aletsch Glacier.
