Rethymnon combines the old-fashioned charm of a small town with proximity to long sandy beaches with all the modern conveniences usually found in big tourist resorts.
On the 18th (Mon), contemplate the long history of The Venetian Fortezza, take an in-depth tour of Historical and Folklore Museum of Rethymno, then stop by Rethymnon Old Town, and finally see Off-Road Tours. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Kournas, then pause for some serene contemplation at Monastery of Arkadi, and then identify plant and animal life at Reptisland.
