Friendly staff, cheap and rich in history. You can visit the entire museum in half an hour.

If you're in the area, take an hour for it. You think quickly, this can paint a child, but appearances are deceptive. Take a good look at everything again. Farmer Kip never attended an art academy and painted from his thoughts and experiences. It is indeed a bit reminiscent of Yugoslavian naive art, in which perspective / depth, as applied in Western art after the Renaissance / Enlightenment, is resolved by placing things higher or lower in the painting. Nothing for the Rijksmuseum, but still, a snapshot of our Dutch local history, country life, war, nature and love.
