Built in the 15th century, Wat Phra Sri Sanphet once served as the largest and holiest temple in Ayutthaya, Thailand’s ancient capital. You will recognize the attraction by its three cone-shaped chedis, said to hold the ashes of three past kings as well as relics. Burmese attacks severely damaged the site in the 18th century, and the three chedis remain the only buildings restored so far. Most people just come for a glimpse of these iconic structures, but take some time to explore the ruins of this important Thailand attraction. Put Wat Phra Sri Sanphet on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Ayutthaya road trip planning website.

Well organized and nice layout. UNESCO, friendly staffs, was used as location to film a famous Thai soap. Need to watch out dress code, female may need to wear pants or skirt that covers their knee Tickets are separate for each spot, about 50.- for foreigners and 10.- for Thai nationals. Lots of kids and people trying to sell souvenir around entrance area, can be a bit pestering

Nice historical site to hang out in. Keep in mind it is going to be extremely hot and sunny during afternoon. Great place to set up a picnic spot and chill late afternoon/early evening.
