This museum has, of course, the usual artefacts from life once lived in the region. On the top floor, there are the typical naïve paintings, on the grund floor dairy-related tools and wood carvings...

People working in this place are nice, warm and know what they are talking about. You will be walking through history with kindness by your side. Go for the cheese, stay for the museum :) Highly recommended!

Very good museum to learn about Cheese and the history of Appenzeller. Also has excellent details about textile, farming. When we visited they had a temporary exhibition on Teddy Bear it was very cute 😊 worth a visit if you are in Zurich. ( Day trip to this museum alongwith Cheese factory and the town)
