View over 7,000 exhibits ranging from ancient Egypt to modern times at Musee D'Art Et D'Histoire, the largest art museum in the city. The museum's fine art section features Italian, Dutch, French, English, and Swiss paintings dating back to the Middle Ages and up to the 20th century, created by famous painters such as Rembrandt and Monet. Walk through the applied art section for a look at weapons, silverware, and textiles, and the archeology section, displaying a real mummy from the 9th century BCE. Grab the visitor guide brochure on your way in, which provides information about the collection's ten must-see masterpieces. Be sure to get a glimpse of "The Miraculous Draught of Fishes" by Konrad Witz, the museum's most famous painting. This is a nice art gallery that is worth finding out the route to. Be prepared for walking as it is large and over a number of floors. There is a Henry Moore sculpture in the park outside.

Loved it! Definitely would highly recommend. Both the permanent and temporary exhibitions were excellent. Truly one I'll remember forever. And to top it off, it's free! Just donate how much (or little or none) as you want and no judgements from the staff. It's by a park on a hill too so a very nice walk and area around. Definitely a must go for art lovers!

The museum is free and it closed at 6PM. You can contribute to the museum as much as you wish. The staffs were helpful. It was quite big and there are artworks from different countries. We was in rush because we went there at around 5h20PM. We wished to have more time to enjoy it. Totally worth the visit.
