Rose Garden (Rosengarten)
A public park since 1913, this site served as a cemetery in the 19th century. Today, the manicured lawns and formal gardens draw both visiting tourists and picnicking locals. In addition to roses, the neat flowerbeds display 30 different types of rhododendrons and 200 kinds of irises. Take a stroll along the footpaths to see the rose varieties named after Ingrid Bergman, Maria Callas, Christopher Columbus, and Cleopatra. Walk here from the Old Town, or take the public bus from the city's main train station. Start your trip to Bern by creating a personalized itinerary on Inspirock.

I think this park is one of the best parks in Bern with the best view of the Old Town and sunset. Beautiful flowers, roses and shrubs. During my 2 weeks in Bern, I went to this garden 4 or 5 times, it was always active and full of people, especially on the weekend. I highly recommend to visit this place. I uploaded some photos that I took there

Fabulous park and gardens with a great view across Bern city centre. Good play park for young children and a cafe. Definitely recommended. Catch a 10 bus from the main station towards Ostermundigen - 6 stops and you're there.
