Horticultural Gardens (Tradgardsforeningen)
One of the best-preserved 19th-century parks in Europe, Horticultural Gardens (Tradgardsforeningen) welcomes visitors with flower beds, woodlands, lawns, and an impressive rose garden with over 4,000 plants and 1,900 species. Stroll the grounds, dotted with delicate glass greenhouses that feature expansive windows and fine white lines. Stop in the palm house for a tropical retreat among exotic plants. Founded in 1842, the park was built to promote the spread of horticulture; it features both native and foreign plants. Considering the weather was in our favour, it was a nice walk. Beautiful flowers and plants. My daughter really enjoyed that walk through this park.

As it was March the gardens were not in full bloom but still pleasant to walk around inn particular we enjoyed the walk along the riverbank. The greenhouses were larger than expected but interesting.

A good place to roam with family and friends. Beautiful gardens with children's playing area. Very close to bus and tram stops. Entry is free of cost. Few cafes and bars are outside. Many other activities like city seeing in open bus cum boat are available outside during summer time. A wonderful place to get relaxed and enjoy.

Great place to picnic specially if you don’t have the luxury of time to travel far from the city. It’s in the heart of Göteborg. The place was busy when we went there because of preparations for a concert the next day but still a good place to have your afternoon summer walk. The playground was a hit to the kids.
