  • I visited the sky station in December 2021. Sadly, it was cloudy that day. Even after waiting till almost 1 am, I didn't get the chance to see the dancing lights. The sky cleared up for a moment, thus got a glimpse of the green light. The most amazing part of the trip was definitely taking the chairlift through the dark to the top of the mountain. The tour guide showed the way from the STF to the base of the station, where everyone was given a warm overall and a pair of boots. It gets extremely cold while going up the mountain on the open chairlift. The sky station is quite cozy and nicely decorated. There is a cafe inside. The tour included a presentation about aurora. A lifetime experience indeed.
  • It's reasonably isolated for sighting northern lights, but some city lights still make their way to the top. Patience is important and you may be able to catch a glimpse of the northern lights if you are lucky. Further darkness would have made the lights look more colorful!
