Warsaw Barbican (Barbakan Warszawski)
Warsaw Barbican (Barbakan Warszawski) is the oldest part of the city's 16th-century fortifications. The round construction, reinforced with four defensive towers, is a popular spot for street performers and art sellers. To get more into the mood of the Middle Ages, check out the small museum, where you can observe the advances in military practices from medieval times until today. The red-brick defensive tower only once took part in the defense of Warsaw, when the Swedes invaded the city in the 17th century. It was completely destroyed during World War II, then reconstructed in 1954 on the basis of 17th-century engravings. There's a real sense of walking back in time here. Quaint views and it was very quiet. I can imagine it being lovely here in the summer!

picturesque place around the old Town of warsaw. The walled architecture make it visually attractive and good place to take photos. Had a great time with friends here in evening.
