Create an itinerary including Rynek Starego Miasta
Established in the late 13th century around the time the city itself was founded, Rynek Starego Miasta served as the commercial and cultural heart of Warsaw for several centuries. The large public space hosted regular fairs and occasional executions. One of the city's great survivors, the square was bombed in 1939 and destroyed in 1944 after the Warsaw Uprising. The houses surrounding the square, painstakingly restored in the years following World War II, blend Renaissance and Baroque architectural styles. The square also features the city's main historical museum and is a natural starting or ending point for your tour of the city. • The Old Town Market Square in the Warsaw Old Town has been revitalised with the lifting of the C19 restrictions this week. Thousands of people are once more enjoying the sights, markets and great eateries in the area. Once again the smell of Belgian waffles is on the air, and the outdoor restaurants are filled to available capacity. Worth a visit as always to enjoy snacks, meals, beer or a pleasant stroll.
  • An architecturally beautiful square. The bright colors of the buildings make the atmosphere magical. It is located in the center of the old town and carries the charm of past centuries. The souvenir stores and cafes offer a unique opportunity to stop in this place for a few minutes and enjoy its beauty.
