Kosciuszko's Mound (Kopiec Kosciuszki)
Sitting atop a natural hill at 326 m (1,070 ft) above sea level, Kosciuszko's Mound (Kopiec Kosciuszki) stands as an architectural marvel that was erected in 1823 to commemorate Polish national leader Tadeusz Kościuszko. The man-made mound was modelled off the natural mounds in Krak and Wanda, and has both the Founding Act encapsulated in a glass and marble case at its base and buried urns filled with battlefield soil inside it. In the 1850s, Austrian fortifications were added to the site, but were later demolished following World War II. In 2003 the mound was restored with state-of-the-art technology to protect it from the elements; a museum next door preserves artifacts and mementos of Kosciuszko's life. Beautiful view of the whole city! The ticket also included the entrance to the museum. You walk out through the museum and then climb up, where a beautiful view awaits you! :-)

This is a perfect place for the people who love the city views from the top. It walked from the market square to this place. Although, it took around 35 minutes but I truly enjoyed it. This place has a a Poland flag at the top of it. The height of mound makes it a perfect place for the photography. It has a museum and a Cafe close to it. Highly recommended to the people who has plans to visit Krakow.

Nice place to visit with literally best view of the city. You have to go though a brand new (2020) museum that depicts polish independence fighter. There is an entry fee of 15PLN(students). The whole fortress was and partially still is under reconstruction to create a wholesome touristy place. (6/2022) Nearby were two cafes but we didn't visit.
