Karakoram Highway, Gilgit

Embark on an epic journey along Karakoram Highway, the high-altitude, transnational road that famously crosses the Himalayas. Originally a basic caravan trail, the road was converted by the Chinese and Pakistani governments into the highway it is today. Although conditions on the highway have improved dramatically, take care during times of heavy rain, as landslides may occur.
