Norsk Hermetikkmuseum, Stavanger

Walk through the 12-step production process of canning sardines and fish balls at Norsk Hermetikkmuseum. This trade was the leading source of income for locals between 1890 and 1960. One of the seven departments of the Stavanger Museum, this charming attraction was established in 1975. The machinery and tools are consistent with those that would have been used in the 1920s, and are still in working order. Upstairs you'll find a collection of can label designs.
