You have to visit the Post Museum if you are already inside the Maihaugen area! Lots of very old and still running vehicles, and for us Norwegians it is a definite tug at old memories to walk trough..... more

Amazing outdoor museum with parts indoor. Clean and well structured. Many buildings can be seen from indoor, there are several places with guides inside who can tell you about the building. Besides there are always some information signs in front (in norwegian, but with QR code for English text). There is a recommended route that takes you through the most important places, which took us about 2-3 hours. I think one can easily spend more time there if you watch everything in detail. Really worth the entrance fee.

Large open air museum. Large area and many many houses ranging from middle ages up to present day. A lot to see and lots of information about the different houses. Situated in a beautiful park. Be prepared to do some walking (in a good way). A few different places to eat (but Norwegian prices of course). Closes quite early at 17.00. We’ll wort a visit
