Harstad Church is a parish church in the municipality of Harstad in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the town of Harstad. The church is part of the Harstad parish in the Trondenes deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white concrete church was built in 1958 by the architect Jan Inge Hovig. Harstad Church is a beautiful building, architecturally. Simple and strict form, modern, the architect was Jan Inge Hovig. Also inside it is a beautiful building, the light falls in different ways as the sun goes its course. The stained glass windows are also beautiful. The altar painting is monumental and in a simple form. We can wonder a little about the portrayal of Hans Egnede in Greenland as a missionary, where the Inuit flock around him to hear the good news. He was a seconded missionary from the Danish great power. This time I listened to images from an exhibition at the Army's music corps, which among other things played Mussorgsky.
