  • A beautiful and peaceful spot. We loved the view from our lodge and the delicious meals at Laven restaurant nearby. It's unfortunate that the service at reception was so bad. We wanted to use the hot tub but it took them 2 days to get back to us. It was too late by then as we were leaving. No information on how the check out. We were promised that someone would meet us the next morning to take our payment. We waited around, even drove back to the restaurant to leave a note with a phone number. We almost missed our cruise scheduled that morning trying to find someone. We also overheard other guests complaining to the restaurant for similar reasons. It's unfortunate but we won't be coming back for that reason.
  • It's hard to describe how beautiful this course is. I took dozens of photo's and they didn't do it justice either. A sublime view no matter which way you turned. The course itself was fantastic quality, a real testament to the skills of the greenkeeper. It was also quite taxing for a high handicapper. (But that wasn't the point of coming. I can play bad golf anywhere in the world, but so far I can't think of anywhere better to play it). The guys in the clubhouse were really friendly and helpful. There were some locals playing behind us at a faster pace, and when we asked if they wanted to play through, they told us to take our time and enjoy it (best advice ever). This was worth the 500Km drive we made. I'm hoping to do it again next summer for the midnight golf. Definitely a bucket list course.
