At Stegastein Lookout, absorb expansive views of Aurlandsfjord. At 650 m (2,132 ft) above sea level, the lookout point stands perched above the one of the world's longest and deepest fjords. To get a true feeling of the height, stand on the glass-ended platform for the sensation of floating above the fjord. You'll be able to see into the clear blue water below, across to the entrance of Naerofjord, and out toward the mountains and villages along the fjord. You can rent a car to reach the top, or take a bus leaving from Flam or Aurland. Keep in mind that the road up is narrow and quite curvy. Note that it can get quite crowded during the day.
