As others have pointed out, the dot is placed incorrectly on Google maps: instead search for Gargia lodge, a drive of about 15 minutes from Alta, from there you can follow a gravel road for about 5km until you reach a car park, there's an easy (slightly rocky) and beautiful 6km hike from there to the canyon.
