Delta Discovery is a new concept in eco-adventure tourism. Based in the stunning Dart River Valley, 45 minutes north of Queenstown, it offers guests the opportunity to self-drive robust electric 4WD vehicles along a 10 km (16 mi) riverside wilderness trail. Guided by an on-board state of the art multi-lingual interactive GPS system, the vehicle also offers text, images, and narrative on the area's wildlife, geology, and history along the way. Ideal for couples, families and small groups, this exclusive trip provides a fantastic way to explore the magnificent valley in comfort, safety, and silence! Our self guided electric 4x4 tour around the Delta Discovery course exploring a section of the Dart River and the outstanding views the location has to offer was great! The operator, Andy, was excellent - super nice and very easy going. We were out on the river bed for ages, we really enjoyed it. Thanks so much Andy.

Would definitely recommend this experience as a MUST do activity around Queenstown /Glenorchy. 4x4 is fun to drive and It's great to be able to go at your own pace and stop whenever you want to enjoy the amazing scenery. Host Andy is absolutely awesome, super friendly, helpful & informative. He made every effort to make sure we got the most out of the experience :)
