Shikara-style Krisnhna Mandir Temple (Chayasim Deval) stands out with its ornate stonework. Built in 1637 by King Siddhinarsingh Malla to house Hindu deities. Under the twenty-one golden pinnacles, three floors enshrine Hindu deities: the first floor is dedicated to Krishna, the second to Shiva and the third to Lokeshwor. See beautiful paintings from the Ramayana in the interior. Admire the stunning columns with their intricate stone carvings and embellishments. See the statue of man-bird Garuda kneeling with folded arms on the top of the column facing the temple. Entrance to the inside of the temple is forbidden for non-Hindus. • The great temple, craving from a large rock, look solid and beautiful. It stand the test of time and nature like the devotion of Krishna devotees to their lord. Hare Krishna!

  • It is located at the heart of kathmandu valley which is famous all over the world. Many foreigners come to visit here every year.
  • Nothing much to add to other reviews except take a close look at the decorative scenes on the temple where some more and less esoteric acts of the kama sutra play out 😃
